Planning For Homemade Detox Drinks

By Joann Richards

When getting into shape and taking care of one’s body, one of the best possible things to speed up the process is to detox the body and make sure that it is going to work at the most efficient levels possible.

detox drinks

One of the ways to make this happen is to to make homemade detox drinks and take them over a week or more.

This can help clear everything out from the liver, kidneys, bowels, and everywhere else in the body that has accumulated various toxins over the years. This then allows the body to work more efficiently, causing more weight to be lost.

While taking just these drinks will help boost weight loss and overall health, taking extra steps to make sure the entire body is being treated well, ensures that they have the maximum effect.

This means shopping for groceries ahead of time, ensuring that the ingredients used are fresh, exercising in moderation, and making sure to get enough sleep. Most of these things can be done with ease, but making plans to ensure that they all happen for the duration of the detox can more than double the results.

Use fresh ingredients only

Any ingredients used in the detox drinks should be purchased fresh at the beginning of the week. They should be kept as close to fresh and possible and should not be used if they begin to lose freshness. This may mean making more than one trip to the grocery store. Looking up a freshness chart and figuring out what to buy to add to these drinks will ensure that shopping is a breeze.

Second, the drinks and meals need to be taken around the same time each day

This gets the body used to a schedule and ensures that it is always getting the same rates of energy and hydration. This is important for future success and to prevent fluctuations due to water weight or over stressing the very organs that are being detoxified. Make a meal plan and stick with it, drinking the drinks around the same times throughout the day.

The diet eaten along with the drinks should be mostly whole foods, nothing processed, and should be high in fiber. Meals should occur within an hour of drinking one of the drinks, but should not be eaten at the same time.

Finally, any exercise done should be moderate, being careful to not over tax the body.

This ensures that the body can focus on healing and not on trying to keep up with the physical activity. Anything that is low impact should be fine, and many people prefer doing stretches or body weight exercises during this time.

Getting enough sleep is also important and can help shed pounds with very little effort. At least 6 hours, preferably 8 to 10, should be had each and every night. With a little bit of planning ahead, homemade detox drinks can be one of the best tools for losing weight and getting in the best shape possible.
